This year sees Tony Holmes Cars Ltd in its 29th year of business in car sales and with a stock approaching 1 million pounds we have grown into one of the East Midlands largest independent used car dealer - covering Loughborough, Leicester, Coalville and Melton Mowbray areas.

Since its inception in 1976, the company has grown from strength to strength, based on the principles of offering car sales that provide excellent value for money, backed up by a high quality service and outstanding professionalism.

The company was founded, initially, by Tony Holmes and Paul Woods, and operated from a site in Kegworth.

With increased growth, a move to larger premises was necessary, and this took place in 1982, when Tony moved the car sales company to its current site on Hanford Way in Loughborough.

In 1990 Paul Greasley joined the company as Sales Director, previously Paul was General Sales Manager with Leicester’s main Vauxhall dealer. Since Paul has joined the company the service offered has been improved with his main dealer expertise and prices hard to match anywhere.

With the increase of stock and a further growth in car sales Paul introduced a Business Manager to assist in all aspects of car financing and insurance products. The company now provide many different car finance options to assist with all customers requirements, whether it be negative equity, low deposit, outstanding finance , long repayment periods or PCP to name just a few of the options available. Our Business Manager is always available to offer friendly advice.

A significant innovation was with the introduction of a money back guarantee on all used cars offered for sale. This now means all retail cars carry a full parts and labour warranty, are fully serviced with a new MOT and have the benefit of full ten day or 500 mile money back guarantee. Paul says by offering a money back guarantee our customers need not feel under any pressure to purchase, and reassures customers he has every confidence in all our used cars.

In 1997, the company opened a Paint & Body Shop to deal with all paint rectification and accident repairs, thus offering a wider service. This department is headed by Paul Lovell who has a wealth of experience in all the latest techniques of body repairs and paint refinishing.

In 1998, Paul Greasley was appointed Managing Director of the company, when Tony Holmes handed over running of the business to him. Tony is able to concentrate on using his vast knowledge and expertise to purchase the majority of new stock for the company.

In 2004 moved forward by being fully accredited by the F.S.A. (Financial Services Authority)

The last three years has seen continued growth in car sales and the company now sells in excess of 1500 used cars a year. Prices range from £2000 to £20,000 with all different models available, saloons, estates, convertibles and 4x4's, you are always assured of a vast selection of different makes and models.
